What to record

This community website provides a simple and easy method for you to report possible sightings of new pest species to local biosecurity authorities. The reporting procedure is very simple to follow. Please record the following information:

Sightings of Corn Snakes and Red-eared Slider Turtles

Tell us what animal you have seen, when and where you last saw the animal using the online reporting form. By providing as much detail as you can, you are helping to prevent the establishment and spread of high risk species.

A picture of the animal

Sometime non-native animals can look similar to Australian native animals. We work with a team of highly skill experts who can help identify the animal from the photo that you provide.

Please ensure your image is good quality by following the recommended guidelines here.

Your contact details

Local biosecurity authorities might need more information from you about what you have seen. By providing your contact details, authorities can gather essential information about the sighting, that can assist in further surveys and monitoring.
