How to care for a non-native animal
Contain the animal
If required, please call a professional animal handler or vet from your
local area to assist with the capture and care of the animal. Keep the animal in a well ventilated and
secure box or container, away from noise, light and disturbance, and not exposed to extreme hot or cold
temperatures.
Safety
Caution - some animals may become defensive and aggressive
when scared. Ensure that the animal and yourself are safe. Keep pets and other people away from the animal.
Animals may carry diseases which can affect human health. Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling
animals.
